English Muffin Pizza

List of Ingredients




1 split English muffin
1/8th cup diced onion
2 tablespoons of:
...(diced bacon, mushrooms, pepperoni,
...hamburger, green pepper, etc.)
1/4 cup jarred pizza sauce
1/4 cup crushed or diced tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 clove minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup shredded Swiss, Provologne,
...Cheddar, Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese
1/8 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Recipe



In skillet saute onion and vegetable/meat of choice.
Add pizza sauce and tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic and sugar.
Cook, stirring occasionally until mixture thickens.
Toast muffin under broiler.
Spread 1/2 of sauce on each muffin.
Top each with 1/2 cheese of choice.
Sprinkle each with 1/2 grated cheese.
Place on baking sheet and broil for 5 minutes.
Serve.
