    Lima Bean Casserole #2, layered

    for cream sauce:
    4 Tablespoons butter, melted
    1 1/2 cups milk
    3 Tablespoons flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1 jar Old English Cheese spread
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup melted butter
    1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
    1, 16 ounce package frozen lima beans,
    ...cooked and drained
    1 cup blanched almonds, optional

    Combine sauce ingredients in a saucepan and cook
    until thick.
    Add the cheese spread and 1 teaspoon salt. Set aside.
    Melt butter and mix with crumbs. Set aside.
    In a glass baking dish, layer crumbs, beans, almonds
    and cream sauce. Repeat, ending with almonds.
    Cook for 12 minutes at 350 degrees F.
    Makes 8 servings.
