    Lima Bean Casserole #3, w/ salted beef, easy

    1, 10 ounce package frozen Lima beans
    1/2 cup salted boiling water
    2 Tablespoons shortening
    1 small onion, minced
    1, 16 ounce can salted beef, chopped
    1/2 pound mild Cheddar cheese, cut into cubes

    Boil frozen Lima beans into salted boiling water, until soft; drain and reserve.
    Melt shortening into casserole.
    Brown minced onion into hot shortening for approximately 30 minutes.
    Evenly spread chopped salted beef into casserole.
    Brown for 5 minutes, until golden brown.
    Spoon reserved Lima beans over salted beef.
    Evenly arrange cheese cubes all over.
    Cover casserole.
    Cook over really low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, to melt the cheese.
    Makes 4 servings.
