    Rutabaga Casserole w/streusel topping, mashed

    1 large peeled and sliced rutabaga
    1 teasoon butter
    1/4 cup brown sugar (scant)
    ...mixed with a pinch of cinnamon
    1 1/2 cups peeled and sliced apple

    2 to 3 Tablespoons flour
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    2 Tablespoons butter

    Cook rutabaga in small amount of boiling water until tender.
    Drain and mash, adding butter.
    Toss sliced apples with brown sugar cinnamon mixture.
    Arrange alternate layers of mashed rutabaga and sliced apples
    in greased 2 quart casserole,
    beginning and ending with rutabaga.
    Mix together flour, brown sugar and butter until crumbly.
    Sprinkle over top of casserole.
    Bake at 350 degrees F.for 1 hour.
