    venison - Beery Venison

    2 pounds deer meat
    2, 12 ounce cans beer
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    2 tablespoons molasses
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

    Place meat in a large bowl and pour the beer over it.
    Cover and marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
    The next day, remove venison from marinade and pat dry.
    Pour the marinade in a saucepan.
    Add the sugar and molasses and cook over a medium heat,
    stirring until sugar dissolves.
    Sprinkle the meat with the salt and pepper and place in
    a large frying pan.
    Pour the beer mixture over the meat. Cover.
    Bring just to a boil, then simmer for 1 1/2 hours or
    until tender.
