    List of Ingredients


    • 250g butter, chopped
    • 3/4 cup caster sugar
    • 4 teaspoons instant espresso coffee powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 2 1/2 cups of plain flour
    • 1 1/3 cups of chocolate, melted (dark chocolate is pref)
    • 1 1/2 cups of chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 190c.
    2. Beat butter in a medium bowl with an electric beater. Beat in the sugar, coffee powder and baking powder. Stir in the egg, vanilla and flour.
    3. Roll the dough out 2cm thick. Cut with a pastry roller into strips 6cm long. Place on ungreased oven trays and bake for 10-12 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack.
    4. Dip each biscuit into melted chocolate, and sprinkle with nuts.
