    Spaghetti alla Carbonara

    List of Ingredients


    • 375g spaghetti
    • 185g bacon (derinded and chopped)
    • 3 eggs
    • 3 tablespoons cream
    • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 45g butter


    Instructions


    1. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water, until al dente.
    2. Fry bacon in its own fat, until crisp. Drain well
    3. Beat eggs, cream, cheese, salt and pepper
    4. Melt butter in large saucepan. Add egg mixture, and stir until it begins to thicken.
    5. Add spaghetti and bacon. Cook a few minutes more.
    6. Serve with parmesan cheese.


    Final Comments


    You may wish to add a few cloves of garlic to the water while the spaghetti cooks, to give it more flavour. If you do, make sure you remove it before serving the spaghetti.
