    SALTED PEANUT BARS

    Source of Recipe

From a cookbook called, "Food for Thought"

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 (24 oz) jar dry roasted peanuts
    • 1 (10 oz) package peanut butter chips (Reese's)
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 (10 oz) pkg mini white marshmallows

    Instructions

    1. Spread half of the peanuts in bottom of ungreased 9x13x2" pan.
    2. Melt together the peanut butter chips and butter.
    3. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk into chip mixture.
    4. In a seperate bowl, pour mixture over the marshmallows and stir to coat well.
    5. Spread the marshmallows over the peanuts and press down well.
    6. Put the rest of the peanuts on top and press down into the marshmallow/chip mixture.
    7. Let sit for awhile to get firm before cutting bars.
    8. Leave in the pan covered, or cut up and put into air tight container. This makes a lot.

    Final Comments

I used a piece of waxed paper to press down the marshmallows into the pan. It gets sticky, otherwise.
