    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound of noodles (homemade are best. If you can't make them or haven't any access to them, you can use wide commercial ones)
    • 1 head cabbage, cored and sliced into not-too-thin chunks
    • 1 stick butter or oleo
    • 1 small onion, grated
    • Salt to taste


    Instructions


    1. Boil noodles until done, usually 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
    2. Melt butter in large skillet and add cabbage and onion with a dash or two of salt. Cover and cook over medium heat until cabbage is tender, about 30 minutes (you may need to add more butter; don't let cabbage brown). Gently fold in cooked noodles.
    3. Makes 4 hearty portions or 6 side dishes.
