    BAKED HAM SANDWICHES

    Source of Recipe

    sister

    List of Ingredients

3 Pkgs. Pepperidge Farm Party Rolls (be sure the rolls are very fresh)
    1 cup butter, softened
3 Tablespoons poppy seeds (I omitted)
    3 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
    1 medium onion, grated
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    3/4 lb. ham, shaved
3/4 lb. Swiss cheese, thinly sliced

    Recipe

Remove rolls from tray and slice the entire sheet in half. Repeat for second and third packages - giving you six full sheets.

Combine butter, poppy seeds, mustard, onion and Worcestershire sauce; spread evenly over inside of all 6 sheets. Place ham and cheese evenly on the 3 bottom sheets. Cover with top sheets and return to aluminum trays.

Cut sheets into individual party sandwiches. Wrap in foil and bake at 350F for 15 minutes. Serve warm.

    Yields 36 appetizer size sandwiches.

Notes: Use any brand of *party* rolls or use puff pastry. Roll out your sheet a little and proceed. Roll up so then you will have a pinwheel. Wrap in plastic wrap overnight. Slice the next day and bake as per pastry pkg instructions.

Another suggestion: I couldn't find fresh Pepperidge Farm rolls, so I bought 12 potato buns (like hamburger buns) and made these, then cut each bun into 3 "fingers" before wrapping in foil and baking.
