    SHRIMP CHEESE BALL

    Source of Recipe

    internet

    List of Ingredients

2 (8 oz) blocks of cream cheese, softened
    4 T. horseradish
    1 small onion, finely diced
3/4 - 1 lb. shrimp, chopped (I use 1 lb, sometimes even more)
1 bottle cocktail sauce (I use Cross & blackwell)
    Crackers (I use Wheat Thins)

    Recipe

Mix together & place on serving dish. (I usually don't make a 'ball', I spread it onto serving dish so that it is in a circle, but only about 1 inch high or so).

Refrigerate to firm up. Just before serving, spread cocktail sauce over cream cheese 'ball'. Serve with crackers.

Note: If using this at Christmas time, it makes a beautiful presentation if you put a few springs of holly around the bottom. Just watch the children so it isn't eaten. (My note: I would just use parsley or other *greens*.)

Posted by: kittyluver_PA: This is an absolute favorite everywhere I take it. Made it for super bowl sunday, as well as many family and work get togethers over the years. Be prepared to hand over the recipe! Sue
