    3/4 cup soft butter (used 4 Tbs)
    1 (8 oz) package of soft cream cheese
    2 (4 oz) cans of shrimp, rinsed well (I used 6 freshly cooked shrimp and I chopped it into small pieces)
    1 Tbs chopped onion (used red)
    3 Tbs lemon juice
    1/2 tsp garlic salt (used fresh)
    Dash or two of Tabasco or cayenne (used cayenne)

    Beat the cream cheese and butter together till smooth add all remaining ingredients and allow to chill for several hours~ Serve with wheat thins~ I served it with some Flatbread crackers~

    One thing about this butter is that it does not require bringing to room temp before serving as it does stay on the soft side~ I gave our's 10 minutes before serving~

    I cannot say enough about this elegant spread~ Every ingredient is very important to this recipe and every one has it's own special role in making this one to die for good~ Thanks Rosie, You post such wickedly wonderful recipes.
