    Easy Cinnamon Flop (T&T)

    Source of Recipe

    internet

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups flour (1 c)
    1 cup sugar (1/2 c)
    1 1/4 cups milk or half-and-half ( 3/4 c & I used 2%)
    3 teaspoons baking powder (1 1/2 t)
    1 pinch salt
    1 egg

1/2 cup brown sugar, more if desired
    1-2 teaspoon cinnamon ( 1 1/2 t.)*
    1/4 cup butter, melted

    Recipe

Set oven to 350°. Prepare a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan (or two 8" or 9" round cake pans - DO NOT try to fill one 8" or 9" or it will overflow!!).

In a bowl, mix all ingredients by hand, except the brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Pour into prepared baking pan. Do not overmix.

Generously spread brown sugar and cinnamon on top. If desired, sprinkle with chopped walnuts or pecans over top. May add chopped apples, raisins or cranberries. Drizzle melted butter over top.

    Bake for 20-25 minutes.

This is like a combination of a cake and cinnamon bun all in one...it's ridiculously simple to make, takes like 5 minutes to throw together!

*Cilla's notes: I used half the ingredients and put it in an 8" corning ware baking dish. I only tasted a little spoonful ...YUMMO!!!! Dad wanted some milk poured on his and heated in the microwave. He really enjoyed it. I screwed it up by mixing the brown sugar, cinnamon & melted butter...but I just dropped it by spoonful onto the chopped walnuts and raisins on top of the cake. Really good and very easy to assemble!! I added more Saigon cinnamon because we love cinnamon!! I just tasted the brown sugar, melted butter & cinnamon until I got what I liked!!! I made the whole topping recipe, I did not half it for our tastes.
