MAYONNAISE CORN BREAD

Combine in mixing bowl:
2 c. self-rising corn meal or 2 c. plain meal with 2 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
Add and mix thoroughly 1/3 cup mayonnaise. Recipe
Pour batter in well-greased heated 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 425 degrees in preheated oven for 40 minutes.
Note: Heating the pan prior to pouring batter in, makes for a crispier crust.
