    Peppermint Pound Cake

    3 cups plain flour
    3 cups sugar
    3 sticks of butter
    6 eggs
    1 cup milk
    1 tsp pure vanilla
    1/2 stick [large] peppermint candy cane,crushed

    Recipe



    Combine butter and eggs until very soft, add flour and milk, ending with flour. Beat well. Add vanilla. Crush 1/2 stick of peppermint candy [a large stick].

    Divide the dough unto 3 sections. Put crushed candy into one section.

    In botton of tube pan, which has been sprayed, put 1/3 of the plain dough, then add the peppermint dough, then add the last 1/3 dough.

    Bake at 350º for about 80 minutes.

    Frost with white icing then sprinkle additional bits of candy over cake.
