    1 chicken, stewed and deboned, or 4 c. cooked chicken in chunks
    12-15 slices dry bread
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    1 tsp. sage or poultry seasoning
    1 qt. chicken broth
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. finely chopped celery
    1/2 c. flour

    Lightly grease a 9x13 pan. Layer bottom with chunks of chicken. Melt margarine in a saucepan and add onion, celery and sage. Cook over medium heat until onion is clear. Toss butter mixture lightly with cubed bread. Layer over chicken. Thicken chicken broth with flour, bringing to a boil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour evenly over dressing mixture. Bake, uncovered at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.
