Brownies:
1 pkg Duncan Hines milk chocolate chunk brownie mix
2 eggs
1/3 c water
1/3 c crisco oil
3/4 c chopped pecans
Topping:
3/4 c brown sugar, packed
3/4 c chopped pecans
1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanillaRecipe
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9" square pan.
For brownies: Combine brownie mix, eggs, water, oil & 3/4 c pecans in large bowl. Stir with spoon till well blended, about 50 strokes. Spread in pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven, spread with topping.
For topping: Combine brown sugar, 3/4 c pecans, melted butter, milk, & vanilla in small bowl. Stir with spoon till well blended. Spread over hot brownies and return to oven. Bake 15 more minutes or until topping is set. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
Yield: about 16 brownies.
