    3/4 lb. butter or oleo (3 sticks)
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt

    Recipe



    Mix butter, sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well, Roll into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Dampen cloth and put over small drinking glass, dip in white sugar and use to flatten cookie rolls. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.
