    These are a soft cookie.

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups sugar
    1 1/2 cups shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup molasses
    4 cups flour
    4 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp cinnamon
    2 tsp ginger
    1 tsp ground cloves
    1 tsp salt
    Extra sugar for rolling

    Recipe



    Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and molasses. Sift dry ingredients and mix into sugar mixture.

    Roll into small balls and dip in extra sugar.

    Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes.
