Nutmeg Delight Cookies (T&T)

Recipe Introduction

These are probably my favorite cookie. Mom made them while we were growing up and then we made them together. Now I make them now and share with my parents!

List of Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 t. baking soda
1 egg
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. nutmeg (I add 1 t.)
1 t. cream of tarter
pecans pieces


Recipe

Sift flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cream of tarter together. Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in egg. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture, blending well.

Roll in 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork and place a piece of pecan in center of each cookie.

Bake in a 350ºF oven for 9 - 11 mins.

Yield: about 7 dozen.
