Recipe Introduction

Note: These are different then the basic peanut butter cookies...they almost melt in your mouth! My families' favorite and requested all the time!

List of Ingredients

1 cup shortening
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt


Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream the shortening, peanut butter, and sugars together. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift the flour, soda and salt together, and add gradually to the creamed mixture. Beat well. Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with a floured fork. Bake at 350 F. for 12 to 15 minutes.


Saw another review: they suggested 2 t. baking soda and taking out of over slightly undercooked.
