    The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

    3/4 cup golden crisco
    1 1/4 cups lightly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 cup chocolate chips
    1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

    Preheat oven to 375ºF.

    Cream Crisco and brown sugar in a large bowl at med. speed of electric mixer for 2 mins. or until light. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beating 1 min. or until thoroughly blended.

    Combine flour, salt and baking soda and add to creamed mixture gradually, beating on low speed 1 min. or until blended. By hand, stir in choc. chips and pecans.

    Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls ( 2 Tbsp. for each cookie ) on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 3 inches between cookies for spreading.

    Bake for 8-10 mins. (Cookies will still appear moist when baked.) Cool 7 or more mins. then remove to cooling rack.

    Makes about 30 large cookies.
