List of Ingredients




1 c butter or real margarine
1 c shortening
1 c powdered sugar, unsifted
1 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 c flour
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe



Cream shortening and sugars, mix well. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Sift or stir together flour, cream of tarter, soda and salt and mix in the dough. Chill dough. Make into balls or just drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with a glass (grease bottom of glass and dip in sugar before flattening) Bake at 350° for 8 – 10 minutes.
