    2 C. flour
    1 C sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbl. baking powder
    1/4 C. margarine/butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 tsp. almond flavoring
    3/4 C. milk
    1 egg

    Recipe



    Mix sugar, melted butter, egg, and flavorings. Mix flour, salt & baking powder. Add flour mixture alternately with milk.

    Bake at 350ºF in a 9 X 9 square pan for approx. 25 minutes.

    This is a very plain and slightly coarse cake but is wonderful with strawberries.
