    Recipe Introduction

“This is a remarkable easy recipe to make, just combine a little ice cream with some broken up candy in the blender, and Voila! This recipe will show you how to make the Heath® version of the Blizzard, although you can just as easy make any other kind simply by substituting, a different kind of candy.”

    List of Ingredients

    1 Health® candy bar
    1/4 cup milk
2 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
    1 teaspoon fudge topping

    Recipe

    1. Freeze the Heath bar beforehand. Then once the candy bar is frozen through, remove it from the freezer and break into chunks using the handle of a knife, or a meat tenderizer, if you have one. Do not remove the wrapper prior to smashing the candy.

    2. Then measure out each ingredient into a blender. Unwrap the candy bar and add the broken pieces to the mix as well. Then blend on a medium speed for about 30 seconds. Stop the blender to stir the mixture with a spoon. Then blend again until the ingredients are all evenly mixed.

    3. Pour into a 16-ounce glass. At this point the Blizzard® may be ready to be eaten, however, it might also be a bit thinner than the real version. If the Blizzard® is too thin, place it in the freezer 5 to 10 minutes, or until it reaches the desired consistency. Makes 1 16-ounce Blizzard®.
