1 (26-ounce) family size can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup half-and-half
2 (8-ounce) cans mushrooms, drained
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, divided
1 (12-ounce) package noodles, cooked, for serving (optional)Recipe
Mix the soup and half-and-half in a saucepan over low heat, cooking just until soup is smooth. The mixture should be fairly thick. Add the mushrooms. Pour enough soup in a slow cooker to cover the bottom. Layer 2 chicken breasts on top of soup, then add a layer of onion. Cover with soup, and add a few chunks of the cream cheese on top. Continue to layer ingredients in the same manner, ending with the cream cheese on top. Cover, and cook on high setting for 4 hours or until onions are completely cooked. Serve over noodles.
