    1 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 cup milk
    2 cups of fruit (fresh)
1 additional cup or less sugar (depending on the sweetness of your fruit)

    Recipe

Melt butter in 10" baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, add milk and mix. Spoon over melted butter. Heat fresh fruit with sugar, adjusting sugar to taste. Pour over batter.

Posted by: Tink___OH: My family has been making this for years and years now. I mentioned that Im not a big fruit dessert eater, but again this is always a big hit. Its wonderful with any fresh fruit, peach and blackberry are my favorites.

Notes: may add 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 tsp. of almond extract in the measuring cup and then added milk to make the 1/2 cup called for in the recipe.

As for using canned filling during the winter months, i'm sure you could, i just wouldn't add the additional sugar like you would with fresh fruit.
