Peaches and Cream "Dew" Dumplings (T&T)

    Source of Recipe

    internet

    List of Ingredients

    2 packages crescent rolls
Peach slices (I used canned, and two to each roll, but frozen would work fine too or even fresh )
    2 sticks butter
    2 cups sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp almond flavoring
1 tsp cinnamon (Saigon) (can use nutmeg instead if you prefer)
1 cup of whole milk or cream

    Recipe

Separate crescent rolls and roll 2 peach slices in each. I don't worry about trying to get the peaches completely covered, just roll them up in the dough and place in the pan. It's fine if the edges are sticking out. Place in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Melt butter, add sugar, flavorings and cinnamon or nutmeg; stir well and pour over rolls. Pour one cup of milk or cream over rolls. Bake at 350ºF for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Posted by: starshineeliz: Listen, guys. These are delicious, too. I would be hard pressed to say which I preferred because they are both wonderful. I wasn't able to find the original post about this version, so I'm not sure whose idea it was first...I think I saw Kay mention them and maybe Grace..if there was someone else, please chime in! This version would be good for someone who wasn't so crazy about the Mtn. Dew or soda taste in the Apple version. And once again, thanks to our Miss LindaC for making us all aware of how good these are!

Rec & Rev: Peaches N Creme (Star's version of the Apple Dew!) Posted by: HDMac_WA: It is a winner folks! Everyone LOVED it! I cut the sugar down to 1 cup and the butter down to one cube. It was great with a dab of ice cream! And I too would be hard to tell you if I like the apple or the peach better! LOL

My review: OMG!! These are wonderful! I made half of the recipe. I didn't put vanilla only almond flavoring (1 1/2 t.). I used the whole cup of Land O'Lakes Fat Free Half & Half...it was divine! I also added a handfull of pecans putting a half on each dumpling. Thanks, Star!!!
