Salisbury Steak
1 lb ground sirloin
1/2 c finely chopped green bell pepper
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp A-1 saice
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 c water
1 c breadcrumbs
Preheat oven to 350�F. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sirloin, green peppers, onion, worcestershire sauce, A-1 sauce, garlic salt, pepper, water and breadcrumbs. Mix well with your hands. Form the mixture into 4 patties and arrange them in a baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes. Top the steaks with Beef Gravy. Recipe
Beef Gravy
2 c beef stock
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 c butter (1/2 stick)
1/2 c all purpose flour
In a medium sauce pan, heat the beef stock and add the salt and pepper. Prepare a roux by melting the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and adding the flour, whisking well until smooth and thick. Once the beef stock has reached a slow boil, slowly whisk in the roux mixture, being careful not to over thicken the gravy.
