1 1/2 lb. stew beef (each piece cut in half)
7 or 8 large potatoes, peeled
1 large onion, peeled and sliced very thin
2 beef boullion cubes (Oxo if you can get them), crumbled
Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
Put a layer of stew beef in a Dutch oven. Cover with a layer of potatoes and then a layer of onions. Continue layering until all of the ingredients are used.
Add the salt, pepper, and the crumbled boullion. Add enough water to cover.
Bake in a 375� oven for at least 1 1/2 hours.
Serves about 6 with big appetites. The broth is good for dunking bread while you are eating the Hotpot.
