    1/2 cup butter
    6 Tbls shortening
    1 cup white sugar
    2 tsp vanilla
    1 Tbls cornstarch
    1/2 cup warm milk

    Recipe



    Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla together in large bowl.

    Separately stir cornstarch into warm milk, then add to sugar mixture. Beat until all ingredients are blended on low. Then blend for 5-7 minutes on high.

    NOTE: for chocolate add 1/4 cup cocoa.

    ANOTHER NOTE: this icing may appear curdled at first but continue beating and it will become smooth. VERY EXCELLENT not too sweet.
