    Caramel Buttercream Frosting

    50 caramels,unwrapped
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    5 cups confectioners sugar, sifted
    1/2 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe



    Melt caramels over medium heat until smooth, stirring occasionally. Whisk in milk. Cool to room temperature, about 1 hour.

    In a large bowl beat butter, vanilla and powdered sugar. Adding caramel and beat until smooth and fluffy. Frost cake.

    Cake Combinations:

    Yellow Cake, caramel buttercream and caramel drizzled on top for decoration. Chopped toasted pecans.

    Caramel cake, caramel frosting, toasted almonds, caramel sauce drizzled.


    Milky way Cake, caramel buttercream,caramel drizzles and chopped Milky Way bars for garnish.
