1 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon lemon juice
3/4 cup whipping cream
Recipe
Melt 1/4 cup sugar in double boiler stirring constantly. Add remaining sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, stirring each addition until thoroughly melted. Add lemon juice and stir until syrup is golden brown. Bring cream to a boil and add gradually to sugar mixture stirring until smooth. Store in refrigerator. Serve warm.
