    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon minced fresh parsley

    Sauce:
1 pound Italian sausage links, cut into 2-inch pieces
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 can (28-oz) whole tomatoes, drained and squished
    1 can (28-oz) crushed tomatoes
    2 cans (8-oz) tomato sauce
    1 can beef broth
    1 can (6-oz) tomato paste

2 teaspoons each: dried basil, oregano and parsley flakes
    2 teaspoons sugar
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Hot cooked spaghetti
    Grated parmesan cheese

    Recipe

In a bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 32 meatballs. In a pan, cook sausage, onion and green pepper until vegetables are tender; drain. Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, tomato paste, garlic and seasonings. Add meatballs (raw); stir gently. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 2-3 hours. Serve over spaghetti; sprinkle with parsley and parmesan cheese. Serves 8

Posted by: AirForceWifeApril: 9/21/2006 Made this for the first time this summer and it was a knock-out. I've had a very good spaghetti sauce recipe for 10 years that I've thought was the best.... well, DH and I agreed after tasting this new recipe that we don't ever want anything but this now for spaghetti. My longtime recipe will probably never be made again now that I have this recipe. I've made this recipe two ways: by browning the meatballs first, and then by dropping them into the sauce raw and letting them cook in the simmering sauce... there's no comparison... dropping them in raw and letting them cook in the sauce is WAY better than pre-browning them.

Review Posted by: Bosox_MA If you have not made it already, it is delicious. I do make my own meatball recipe with this because I like it better, but the sauce and the sauage make it outstanding. It's a lot of sauce--I was able to freeze 2 qts. of sauce after after we had it once and my son at a ton of it at another sitting. ril
