    Onion Bake

    List of Ingredients

    3 large Vidallia onions cut in half; slice not too thin (it will get mushy) and remove core of the onion
    8 oz. to 1 lb. mushrooms (fresh) sliced
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1 Tbs. soy sauce
    8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese or more if you like
    Slices of French Bread (1 large loaf)

    Recipe

    Saute ½ of the onion and fresh mushrooms at a time just until soft do not over cook.

    Mix together can of mushroom soup, milk and soy sauce.

    Place in casserole ½ of the onion mixture then ½ of the soup mixture then the other ½ of the onion mixture. Top with ½ of the cheese (4 oz.). Top with slices of French bread. Top with other ½ of soup mixture. Top with rest of cheese.

    Cover and bake @ 325 for 30 minutes; uncover and bake 15 more minutes.

    **You can make this the day before; bake the day needed.
