    Recipe Introduction

My mom used to make this recipe. It's unusual and a good finger food for a party - travels easily, too.

    List of Ingredients

    1 stick margarine
1 lb. (box) light brown sugar
    1 C flour
    2 tsp vanilla
    1 egg
    2 C chopped pecans
    Box of Triscuits

    Recipe

Melt the butter in a pan and add all other ingredients, except pecans and Triscuits. Line Triscuits on Pam-sprayed cookie sheet and spread layer of the mixture on top of the Triscuits. Bake for 20 minutes at 325º. Allow to cool.

TXSue's notes: I like a little more vanilla than stated and sometimes use the low sodium Triscuits.

The brown sugar melts (be sure and cook over low heat)and it is "praline" texture. Spread on each individual triscuit. When they cook, it melts into the Triscuit a bit, too. It's not the recipe where you pour it on and then break them up (although that one's good, too!).

Also, the instruction to sprinkle the finely chopped pecans was left out - do that before cooking. These really are yummy.
