    1 1/2 C. WATER
    1 TSP. SALT
    1 1/2 TSP. WHOLE CLOVES & CINNAMON
    3 1/2 C. VINEGAR
    DASH OF NUTMEG

    BOIL ON LOW TO MEDIUM HEAT FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES, THEN POUR IN JARS OVER CUT UP BEETS. PUT CINNAMON STICKS IN JARS WITH BEETS.
