    Recipe Introduction

Family members expected these scrumptious rolls at all family holiday dinners. It's the #1 favorite recipe!

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 stick + 1 T oleo or butter, softened
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 3/4 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 cup boiling water
    • 1 pkg, yeast
    • 1/2 cup warm water
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 3 cups flour

    Instructions

    1. Mix first 4 ingredients. Reserve 1 T butter. Cool.
    2. Mix yeast in warm water and add beaten egg and flour.
    3. Combine above ingredients.
    4. Place in greased bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight.
    5. Divide into 3 balls; roll out; spread with butter and cut into pie shaped wedges (8 - 12 wedges).
    6. Roll into crescent shapes; let rise.
    7. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees until browned.

    Final Comments

Good warm with butter & jam. You can't eat just one. Freezes well in the unlikey event you have some left over.
