Recipe Introduction
This is the simplest and easiest recipe there is. It makes a big batch, plenty for a crowd and freezes well.
List of Ingredients
- 5 - 6 lbs. beef roast
- Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Mix (packets); 1 for each lb. of roast.
- Beer (1 or 2; depending upon the quantity of beef)
Instructions
- Place beef in crock pot.
- Sprinkle dry Italian dressing mix over beef.
- Add beer.
- Cook on low setting for 7 - 8 hours or until tender.
- Remove beef and shred, discarding fat.
- Return to crock pot.
Final Comments
We like to refrigerate the beef overnight and scrap off grease before warming again the next day.
