    Red Pizza Sauce

    List of Ingredients

    1 large can italian plum tomatoes (San Marzano brand)
    5 cloves of garlic
    1 medium yellow onion
    salt
    pepper
    olive oil
    fresh basil

    Recipe

    Finely chop onion and mince garlic. Heat pan and add olive oil. Let olive oil warm up but not get too hot. Saute onion until translucent. Add garlic to the pan and saute for a minute or so. DO NOT BURN GARLIC. Add canned tomatoes. Work tomatoes into a sauce with a spoon over medium heat. If desired, add a little double concentrated tomato paste. Heat until mixed through then add salt and pepper to taste. Turn down to low and simmer until desired consistency. Add fresh basil at the very end. If you want a finer texture you can use a hand blender. Cool and refrigerate until ready to use. Can also freeze.
