    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Pkg (18 1/4 ozs) German chocolate cake mix with pudding
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 oz red food coloring
    • 3 eggs
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • VANILLA CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
    • 8 oz cream cheese
    • 1/4 cup softened butter
    • 2 Tbl sour cream
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 16 oz powdered sugar


    Instructions


    1. FOR CAKE: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease & flour 9x13 cake pan.
    2. In large mixing bowl combine cake mix, sour cream, eggs, water, vegetable oil, food coloring, cocoa powder and vanilla.
    3. Mix on low speed until ingredients are just moistened. Scrape sides of bowl. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
    4. FOR FROSTING: Combine all frosting ingredients in medium mixing bowl and beat until smooth and combined. (Frosting is quite thick, so a little milk added will help thin it down)
