    Louise's Cheater Pickles

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 quat jar dill pickles...store bought ones
    • 2 Tbl whole mustard seed
    • 2 Tbl white vinegar
    • 2 cups white sugar


    Instructions


    1. Hamburger pickle slices work really well for this but other dill pickels will work, too.

    2. Open the jar of pickles and drain. Thow out the drained juice. Save the jar and the lid.

    3. Put drained pickles into a mixing bowl and add the other ingredients. Stir well to mix.

    4. Cover with plastic wrap.

    5. Leave out on the counter top over night. Stir several times.

    6. The next morning put the pickles and the juice they've made back into the jar you saved. Refrigerate until they are cold and crispy.



    Final Comments


    Since you didn't use up a bunch of your time by canning up real pickles you can now spend the afternoon shopping at WalMart.
