Recipe Introduction
Someone at church brought this to a meeting and it was absolutely fabulous! Perfect for coffee. This is also known as an Armenian Christmas Pastry. She also gave me a name and number for a bakery that provides the pastry.
Orange Bakery for pastry sheets. 907-4858 I am assuming that it is a 360 area code I could be wrong though. I also have another recipe that has a recipe for the pastry, and that worked out just delicous.
List of Ingredients
2 cup Sugar
2 egg yolk
1 stick Butter; clearified
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder Recipe
Boil butter approximately 1 minute (till clear) cool. Pour off and leave solids in pan. Gradually add butter to sugar while mixing. Add egg, mix. Fold 1/3rd to middle from both sides. Scrape fork to make design - cut long ways them cut each side at an angle. Bake 350�F 15 to 20 minutes, or till brown.
