    Chicken Fried Pork Chops

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 pork chops 1/2 inch thick
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 1 tbl. milk
    • 2/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
    • 2 tbl. shortning
    • 1/2 tsp. salt


    Instructions


    1. Trim excess fat from pork chops.

    2. Mix egg and milk

    3. Dip meat in egg mixture and then roll in the bread crumbs.

    4. Brown meat on all sides in the hot shortening.

    5. Season with salt, add 1/4 cup of water and cover.

    6. Cook over low heat 45 to 60 minutes. Lift the pork chops occasionally to prevent sticking. For a crisp coating, remove the cover the last 15 minutes.
