    Twice Cooked Chicken Wings

    Source of Recipe

Heidi Garrard - mom of Cyrus Nelson - 4th - Ludwig

    Recipe Introduction

Hot as you want them to be.

    List of Ingredients

    1 family pack chicken wings
    1/4 c olive oil
    3-4 Tbsp garlic powder
    3 Tbsp salt
    3 Tbsp pepper
    2 Tbsp chili powder
    1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp crushed red papper, optional
    1 Tbsp stick butter
1 (12 - 16-oz) bottle of favorite hot sauce (personal preference-Franks Red Hot)

    Recipe

Wash chicken. Put chicken in big bowl. Combine next 7 ingredients in bowl with chicken. Mix thoroughly or until all pieces are fully coated. Place on sheet pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 30-45 minutes or until chicken is cooked throughout. Melt butter in saucepan and add hot sauce to butter and simmer for 5 minutes. When chicken is cooked, pull from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Heat 1 large saute pan, add 1 tablespoon stick butter. Saute half of the wings for 1 minute, add sauce enough to coat each piece, cook until chicken is evenly coated and looks very tender, about 2-3 minutes. Do the other half the same way. You get the most tender hot wings that fall off the bone.
