    Gooey Butter Cake

    List of Ingredients

    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 large egg
    1 stick unsalted butter,melted
    1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 stick unsalted butter, melted
    1 (16-oz) box of confectioner's sugar

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Combine cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with electric mixer. Pat down into bottom of greased pan. Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Pour in confectioner's sugar and beat well with mixer. Reduce speed and slowly pour in butter. Pour filling over cake mixture evenly. Bake 45 to 50 minutes. Make sure center is gooey. Don't over cook! Cool, and cut into squares.
    Optional: Add 1 cup of nuts or Heath toffee bits in mixture.
