Old Grandma's Strawberry Soda Cake

Recipe Introduction

Grace's favorite birthday cake! A pretty pink cake for little girls.

List of Ingredients

1 white cake mix
1 c strawberry pop
1 c hot water
2 small packages of strawberry jello
1 large container of cool-whip
1 large box vanilla instant pudding
1 1/2 c cold milk
3-4 drops red food coloring


Recipe

Grease and prepare a 9 x 13 inch pan for baking. Mix white cake mix and bake according to directions. Remove and immediately poke holes with the end of a wooden spoon about every 2 inches apart all over the cake. Dissolve jellos in the 1 cup of water, mix with the pop, and pour all over the hot cake. Allow to cool completly and refrigerate. Meanwhile, Combine the vanilla pudding and the milk. Fold in the cool whip and red food coloring and frost on chilled cake. Keep chilled and store leftovers in refrigerator.
