Dry and preserve fresh-cut flowers that will last for many years to come. Flowers that have great drying results include: daisies, pansies, apple blossoms, asters and violets.

1 c Borax laundry booster
2 c cornmeal
cardboard shoe box
fresh flowers
Recipe
Mix the Borax and cornmeal together. cover the bottom of the shoe box with 3/4 inch of the Borax/cornmeal mixture. Cut the stems off the flowers and then place the flowers face down into the mixture as flat as possible. Pour the remaining mixture on top of the flowers until the are completely covered. Place the lid on top of the shoe box and set it in a dry place at room temperature for 3-4 weeks. Remove dried flowers from the shoe box.
