    Sour Cream or Yoghurt Coffeecake - Great

    This is from my Bible - The Joy of Cooking.
    It's moist, easy to make, so versatile and just great.
    Highly recommended!

    List of Ingredients




    Streusel:
    2/3 cup ground nuts or almonds (or chopped)
    2/3 cup flour
    2/3 cup sugar (can use brown)
    cinnamon to taste
    5 tbsp. butter, melted (just soft butter is fine, saves a casserole to clean!)

    Cake:
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1-1/4 cups sour cream or yoghurt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 tbsp. butter, soft
    1 cup sugar
    2 large eggs

    Recipe



    Whisk together flour, soda, baking powder.Cream butter, sugar,salt and vanilla.Add eggs to creamed mix, cream again.Add flour and yoghurt or sour cream in three batches, blending well after each addition (don't overbeat, beat on low).Pour batter into greased 13 by 9 inch pan, top with fruit and/or Streuseln if desired, bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes (probably 35 minutes with fruit topping).
