    Recipe

You know almost every recipe of mine starts with a little story. Here's the pizza-story:
My parents and I visited Helsinki (capital of Finnland) about 7 years ago. That was the time American dining was completely unknown in Germany, we just had some McDreck's (common name for this well-known chain, McDirt in English...)but the Skandinavian countries have always been more U.S.-oriented.They even have KFC in Kopenhagen these days.Well, I'm about to lose the thread, anyways, we were there and had a nice trip through southern Finnland(ia?) and came back very late and hungry but there was no open restaurant except a PizzaHut.My Dad wanted to strike since he pretends to hate pizza but we were so hungry we got in.We had a super and expensive meal and payed on credit-card.It's been about 80 DM (40$) and it hasn't been booked from Dad's account yet.Nowadays we have three PizzaHut in Hamburg and I've always had to pay for my meal, but those are things you remember.

    Got hungry?Here we go:
Prebake your pizza shell if using a fresh one (see instructions in the recipe, please).Preheat oven to 200° if using a prebaked one.
Heat a little oil in a frying-pan and cook the beef until well browned.Add onion powder or fresh onion if you like.Add pizza sauce and let simmer a couple minutes.
Pour on pizza shell, top with bacon, top with cheese.
Bake for about 8-12 minutes (says the recipe) or bake for about 30 minutes if your crust was thick and fresh.
Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
